I really like this bakery. The coffee the ambience the sandwiches , Salads and bakery goods. But I have one issue that irritates my wife and I. Every time we come we have the responsibility when people come to the door they think you are closed. They walk away we go out and let them know you're open. We do this 3 to 4 times within the 20 minutes. We mention this to you and the response was. Oh well sometimes it works sometimes And sometimes It doesn't work. Not a thanks, nothing that relates to the awareness of people are walking away thinking you were closed. This is been going on for a long time ,some people are very irritated . Please attend to it. I know you're very busy but this is so so basic. Thanks

The food from this bakery is delicious!! My son has a dairy allergy, so I went in to see if they had any dairy free treats (which is almost impossible to find in a bakery unless it's vegan). They had coconut macaroons and homemade granola. The owner gave my son a free macaroon, which he devoured. We went in the next day with my husband, and he and I got the quiche... best one I've ever had. It was asparagus, cured black olives and goat cheese in a personal pan size, so every bite had part of the buttery, crisp crust. We went back the following day for more quiche, which was exactly as delicious as the day before.

I had the pleasure of building out the bakery for the owner and since she has catered a couple of events for me and I enjoyed her delicious food at the Village Market in Annisquam. Great surprise and continued great quality. I'll take credit for the sticking door and irritating step one reviewer was upset about. The step is now an easy rise with a cool B&W tile (picked out by the owner) and the door has been shaved down and oiled. We'll try to stay on it if it continues to trick people into thinking the Sandpiper is closed. Don't miss it - kick the door!!

We stop at every new bakery we can find, and our afternoon to the beach we stopped at Sandpiper. Love the layout of the cafe/bakery, chatted with the pastry chef and owner, and bought a wide assortment of items. Our favorite item so far is the chocolate mini-cake -- rich, dark, and just large enough to be a big mouthful of flavor! We will be back the next time we are in the area.

The croissants looked tempting (gruyere; chocolate; plain) as did the fresh bread, coffee, and pastries, and I'll definitely be back for the 2 sandwich options. Consistent, ridiculously yummy food.

Super friendly staff, beautiful interior, and the food is amazing. We are fortunate to have a bakery of this quality in our town. Support this new business and while there, try the quiche. You won't be disappointed!

The owner said that she would work on some more dairy free treats for our son and that she's going to make her own almond milk! Very excited that we have this wonderful addition downtown!!
