Cape Ann Whale Watch cancelled our tour and said they would credit our account. We got a confirmation number supposedly. After a week still no refund. Called again. Now they say they will send me a paper check. I would choose another boat. I hear they cancel often and don't get in any hurry to get your money back to you. If I don't get mine back at all I will repost.
Everyone should experience a whale watching excursion at least once in their lifetime. I recommend having a warm hoody. If you didn’t bring one, you can purchase one in the gift store. It is much cooler on the open water.., even in the hot summer.
The boat was running a little late, but that's alright. We ended up having a 2 hour ride each way, so a total of 4 hours just riding the boat. It was a little long. I wasn't expecting it. We ended up going all the way to Maine/P-Town. We saw a lot of whales. A lot showed their tails and backs. They were very informative and the staff did well. I just wish it was made more obvious that it was going to be such a long ride each way, because we ended up missing our other planned activities due to getting back so late. We left around 12:30 if I remember correctly, and didn't end up getting back until around 6:40. If you enjoy long boat rides and have the entire day open for the experience, I would recommend this company.
used groupon for a whale watch. whales seen varies, but 2 people boating for 2 hours for under $60 was awesome. can get eats, soft and harder drinks too. thumbs up !
Great time, saw many whales although they weren't close but not the captain's fault. Indoor lunch restaurant was good. The educators were excellent and very knowledgeable, I had many questions and they answered them all in detail. Also they had a kiddy section on the top deck on the way back and they totally entertained the young children. My toddler daughter had a great time. The only negatives were there were no place to change her diaper, the speakers were very loud and people vomiting. They should probably have barf bags. Other than that I would definitely would recommend!
