Going here was so incredible! It was beautiful and so awesome to see history like that. My family and I went on a tour of the castle which in my opinion is better than walking around on your own because you get the informational side of everything instead of just seeing what's around. It's a great place to see if your in the area!

This place was absolutely gorgeous and I mainly only saw the outside grounds. It was closed for the day when I went for the night haunted house event (which was FANTASTIC!). Very picturesque. I cannot wait to go back so that I can actually see the inside during the daytime. Would totally recommend.

Go early if you can, the waiting line is long. The volunteers who do everything there do an amazing job, there is just the right balance of gore & spookiness without being too much. Don't go if you are faint of heart...but if you enjoy everything that is Halloween, you'd better go. Plus, it's in a gorgeous castle on the water.

Unfortunately, I cannot give any more than a zero on this castle. We drove in early to be able to tour the castle, but it was closed. The website said it was open at 10am. At 10am someone inside hung a "closed" sign out without explanation. When I called the number on the website a woman answered and said that after Labor Day the castle was only open on Saturday and Sunday. When I told her that there were 8 people outside waiting to get in and that the website didn't indicate that the castle wasn't open, she simply said, "I'll have to look into that".

Spectacular medieval castle and medieval collection overlooking the ocean. John Hammond was second in patents only to Edison ans is the father of the remote control and guided missile technology. An enchanting and mysterious place not to be missed. It was also on America's most haunted places. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful castle you won't be disappointed. It is also an event location for weddings, etc. The garden outside of the drawbridge and bell tower is a luscious, and shady place to take a rest while taking you back to a long ago time. Just gorgeous.
